| Description: | Abstract: This dataset comprises a collection of Python scripts used to extract historical land-cover information from topographic maps. Folder Workflow 1 contains all components required for a deep learning workflow that identifies the land cover classes Scrub, Hut, Bushland and Bare Soil. Folder Workflow 2 provides a script for classifying the classes Forest, Water, Swamp and Wetlands using a segmentation-based SVM classification. These workflows were used to generate a historical land cover dataset for Baringo County, Kenya. A commercial ArcGIS Pro license is required to run all scripts. |
