Title: | Main Title: Lake Baringo Meteorological and Soil Moisture Stations data |
Description: | Abstract: The file contains four CSV files of the ATMOS 41 Meteorological stations data and soil sensors data. The weather stations and soil moisture sensors were installed as from 2nd December 2022 and 29th January 2023 in the Lake Baringo region, Kenya. The weather stations are installed with ATMOS41 weather stations, ZL6 data loggers and TEROS11 soil sensors. The soil sensors are installed at a depth of 10 cm, 30 cm and 50 cm at each meteor station. The 3 meteor stations are installed at three different land uses i.e. forest, managed/artificial grassland and rain-fed agricultural area. The data from the weather (meteor) station is uploaded and stored to the cloud at a time interval of every 15 minutes. The weather station are named as follows; KEFRI (forest land use), Salabani (grassland land use) and Lugumugumu (agricultural land use). The Lugumugumu and Salabani weather stations shares the data logger with soil sensors installed at their respective locations. KEFRI weather station and soil sensor use different data logger install separately though close by approximately 25 meters apart. The coordinates of the weather stations can be found in a file uploaded in this database named as; Lake Baringo, Kenya, Bulk Density, Guelph Permeameter, TDR Measurement for Assessment of Impact of Road on Soil Properties. The coordinates are; KEFRI (Latitude 0.472, Longitude 35.994), Lugumugumu (Latitude 0.447, Longitude 36.084) and Salabani (Latitude 0.519, Longitude 36.006). The weather stations records; solar radiation, atmospheric air temperature, vapour pressure, vapour pressure defiicit, air pressure, wind speed, gust wind speed, wind direction, precipitation, lighting activity counts, battery percentage and battery voltage of the data logger. The soil sensors records; soil temperature and soil moisture content at their respective depths. |
